IMMERSING NOZZLE FOR DOUBLE-ROLL TYPE THIN PLATE CASTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: An immersing nozzle for a double-roll typed thin plate casting machine is provided to stabilize the ladle surface of molten steel generated in the couple of rolls while improving the quality of cast piece. CONSTITUTION: Locations of circular vent holes(10) are arranged to cross each other for each row(11,12,13). Herein, the vent holes are punched to form plural rows on a front and rear long side portion(1a) and on a left and right short side portion(1b) of an immersing nozzle(1). Moreover, the circular vent holes are arranged on the solidifying layer of a roll surface to have even temperature distribution. And, the vent holes are widely arranged on the lower end portion of the immersing nozzle. Therefore, the speed and the distribution of molten metal supplied to a molten metal pool through each vent hole are stabilized while forming an even solidified layer on the roll surface. And, the flow of the molten metal in the molten metal pool is moderate while forming a stable ladle surface.
