PURPOSE: Reinforcing structure of a tail gate in a vehicle is provided to install a reinforcing plate having end portions bent to opposite directions in the tail gate for mounting the bent surfaces of the reinforcing plate to an inner panel and an outer panel. CONSTITUTION: An inner panel(11) and an outer panel(12) are combined while having a specific space. A door handle(14) is installed on a central portion of the outer panel for manipulating a locking apparatus located in the outer panel. A rear windshield(13) is installed on the outer panel, and an upper end portion of the outer panel is installed on a rear opening portion of a vehicle. A reinforcing plate(15) is installed between the inner panel and the outer panel at the door handle portion. One side of the reinforcing plate is welded on the inner panel, and the other side of the reinforcing plate is welded on the outer panel. The reinforcing plate contains flanges bent to opposite directions, and a bent protrusion portion is formed at a center for improving strength against bending.
