PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic mode switching type logic circuit generating device which can shorten the designing time of a mode switching type integrated circuit that is used in every application by switching the connection between the external and internal terminals according to a mode selection signal and generating the information on the mode switching type logic circuit. SOLUTION: A circuit information generation processing program is stored in a storage device 4, and an arithmetic processing unit 1 performs its processing based on a circuit information generation processing program. Then the information on a mode switching type logic circuit which switches the logical locks according to a mode selection signal is generated based on the information which is inputted from an input device 2 and also a block-based logical function library, a mode switching logical function library, a decoder circuit production template, a mode selection function library converting function, etc. Thus, it is possible to generate the circuit information without any intervention of an operator and also to prevent the occurrence of the designing mistakes, etc.
