PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make automatically, inexpensively and delicately switchable a setting of power saving operation and a setting of a summer circuit and a winter circuit by a simple control. SOLUTION: This controller calculates the predictive number of sales for every time zone based on the sales result of an automatic vending machine to vary the set temperature of a cooler/heater 7 or to execute a power saving operation such as turning off a part of an illuminating device 9 in a time zone that the predictive number of sales is not more than a prescribed number and to execute normal operation in a time zone except it. Then, when the number of the sales in the time zone becomes more than a fixed number during power saving operation, the power saving operation is released to return to normal operation. In addition, the number of the sales per a day is predicted for a hot beverage and a cold beverage to execute winter operation giving priority to a heater compared with a compresser on a day when the predictive number of the sales of the hot beverage is more than that of the cold beverage but to execute summer operation giving priority to the operation of the compressor on a day when the predictive number of the sales of the cold beverage is larger.
