摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein an electrical connection between a film carrier mounted with driving circuit elements of a liquid crystal panel thereon and the liquid crystal panel is stabilized, and a wrong use of the film carrier can be prevented even if a driving circuit element having a same shape but a different function is mounted. SOLUTION: Identification marks 15 of a driving IC are formed in dummy electrodes 14 on a film carrier substrate 1, and a volume ratio of the electrode part of the dummy electrodes 14 to the non-electrode part is made approximately equal to that of the electrode part of the effective electrodes 2 to the non- electrode part. Thus, it is possible to obtain a liquid crystal display device stabilized in the electric connection between the liquid crystal panel and the film carrier and having high reliability, and further, the driving circuit elements mounted on the film carrier can be identified by the identification marks, and a wrong use of the film carrier can be prevented even if a driving circuit element having an identical shape but a different function is mounted.
