PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device for a portable telephone set, whose form can easily be reduced, and to obtain a charging device, which can inform an incoming call with emitted light with respect to a charging device used for a portable telephone set. SOLUTION: A flickering circuit detecting an incoming call signal to a portable telephone set and flickering emitted light is installed and flickering is immediately executed when the incoming call signal is received. Thus, by fitting a charging device to the portable telephone set an incoming call to the portable telephone set can be learnt by emitted light. Since the cases 5-7 and the cap 8 of the charging device 1 are constituted of materials that can emit light, a position can easily be learnt even in a dark place in the night time and the position of the portable telephone set can immediately be learnt. Then, the portable telephone set can easily be used. The charging device can exhibit a superior function by using a neck piece or a band.
