PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a process for producing a liquid crystal display panel which is capable of executing a stage for joining a pair of substrates of the liquid crystal display panel with a thermosetting resin by using single substrate type preheating in the process for producing the liquid crystal display panel which bonds and seals a pair of glass substrates with a sealing material using the thermosetting resin and an apparatus for producing the same. SOLUTION: This process includes (a) a stage of constituting the superposed substrates by superposing a pair of the glass substrates (LS) and (US) via the sealing material 11 using the thermosetting resin and spacers 12, (b) a stage for holding the superposed substrates between a pair of hot plates and subjecting the substrates to continuous heating and pressurizing to precure the sealing material 11 and (c) a stage for completing the curing of the sealing material by heating the superposed substrates subjected to precuring of the sealing material.
