PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of burst errors and the deterioration of a reproduced voice and to prevent the deterioration of voice in a state including a diversity error by executing selection not only by an error detector but also by a quality predictor. SOLUTION: Redundant data such as a demodulated ADPCM code and a CRC are inputted to an error detector 21 and error existence/absence is outputted. When redundant, data such as a demodulated ADPCM code in another system and a CRC are inputted to an error detector 22, the existence/absence of an error is outputted. These error detection outputs are inputted to an error quality comparator 25. The ADPCM code outputted from the detector 21 is inputted to a quality predictor 23 and a quality state is outputted. The ADPCM code in the other system is inputted to a quality predictor 24 and a quality state similar to the output of the predictor 23 is outputted from the predictor 24. The comparator 25 selects the one with no error when only one of the outputs from the error detectors 21, 22 is in error.
