PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of beam landing on a flat screen obtained by making the outer face of a panel flat, and by bending the inner face in the tension imparting direction of a shadow mask to thereby increase the thickness, and by correcting most suitably the intervals in the three electron beam array directions in the periphery of the tension imparting direction by two path correction means. SOLUTION: A phosphor screen 21 on the inner face of a roughly oblong panel 20 having a flat outer face is bent in the tension imparting direction of a shadow mask 27, to thereby increase the thickness. A neck side path correction means 22 and a phosphor screen side path correction means 23 are installed between a cathode of an electron gun and the phosphor screen 21. The correction means 22, 23 influence a pair of side beams 26B, 26R to under and over convergences in the periphery of the phosphor screen 21. Also, the whole overall actions of the correction means 22 are executed on the further neck side than the whole overall actions of the correction means 23. Hereby, the beam landing on the periphery of the phosphor screen 21 can be adjusted most suitably.
