PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector capable of utilizing internal space of a small-sized electronic device to the maximum. SOLUTION: An electrical connector 100 is equipped with a connector housing 102 mounted in an opening of a printed circuit board and including a circuit connection portion for receiving a flexible circuit board, a plurality of connection terminals 106 mounted in the housing and terminating at surface mounting portions, upper surfaces of the plurality of connection terminals 106 making contact with corresponding circuit traces on an under surface of the printed circuit board, ground terminals 108 outwardly extending from both sides of the connector housing, upper surfaces of the ground terminals being flush with upper surfaces of the surface mounting portions of the connection terminals, and a circuit fixture 110 rotatably attached in a vertically movable manner to the connector housing for fixing the flexible circuit board in the circuit connection portion of the connector housing, and when the electrical connector is disposed in the opening of the circuit board, the whole profile of the connection portion is reduced by the thickness of the circuit board. |
