PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member forming material for an optical connector in which the fluidity is improved, the mold shrinkage ratio is suitable for the precise molding and the coefficient of thermal expansion is small. SOLUTION: This member has the resin component containing >=80 wt.% filling material consisting of a mixture of a rough spherical particle inorganic filling material of 5-50μm in mean grain size dL, and a fine spherical particle inorganic filling material of 0.1-5μm in mean grain size dS. The mold shrinkage ratio and the coefficient of thermal expansion of an optical connector member are reduced, the increase in viscosity of the molten resin caused by highly filling the filling material is suppressed by using spherical silica with specified gain size distribution as the filling material with the compatible formability.
