PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a single information recording/reproducing function compatible with a function in which arbitrary information is extracted from multiplexed information and the information is recorded/outputted, and to improved the operability. SOLUTION: Arbitrary information is extracted from input information, which includes multiplexed information, by an extracting means (a digital switch circuit) 3. If the input information is to be recorded as it is, an input selecting means (the circuit 3) selects a first input path 10A, which leads to the recording means 2A and 3B without going through the means 3. If arbitrary information is extracted from the input information, a second input path 10B, which passes through the means 3, is selected. Thus, the means 2A and 2B record the input information taken in through either one of the selected paths 10A and 10B.
