PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of various bacteria to a bathtub even if thermal sterilization of a filtering tank is not performed when filtering operation is stopped and when the filtering operation is resumed after elapsing a long period of nonuse. SOLUTION: Upon receiving a start command of filtering operation, a nonuse period acquiring section 252 determines the length of nonuse period when the filtering operation has been stopped continuously up to that moment. If the length of nonuse period thus determined is longer than a predetermined reference period, a thermal sterilization executing section 251 executes thermal sterilization processing for supplying the filtering tank with high temperature water for a predetermined time prior to start the filtering operation.
