PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking stove which can keep the cooking things etc., within a cooking vessel at a proper temperature, by automatically controlling the quantity of heating of a burner. SOLUTION: A burner 2 heats a cooking vessel 4 placed on a trivet 5. A temperature sensor 6 detects the temperature, in contact with the bottom of the bottom of the cooking vessel 4. A control unit (quantity-of-heating control means) 7 switches the quantity of heating of the burner 2 from small to large or from large to small each time the sensor temperature reaches the first control temperature or the second control temperature. The control unit 7 sets the initial first control temperature and the initial second control temperature, according to the cooking temperature, and also sets the next second control temperature to a temperature lower than the initial second control temperature, the larger the quantity of undershoot of the sensor temperature of the last first control temperature, and also sets the next first control temperature to a temperature lower than the initial first control temperature.
