PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make surely stoppable the entrance/exit of a person to and from a room whose iris information has not been registered by qualifying the person to enter and leave the room, counting the number of people to enter and leave the room and outputting an abnormality information when the number of acquired pieces of iris information is not coincident with the counted number of people to enter and leave the room. SOLUTION: The entrance/exit control system is installed near a doorway 2 of a building 1 or facilities to which security is performed and constituted of an iris information acquiring means 7 to acquire the iris information from the eyes of the person to enter and leave the room, a counting means 8 for the person to enter and leave the room to count the number of people to enter and leave the room from the doorway 2 and an entrance/exit control device 6 to collate the iris information acquired by the iris information acquiring means 7 with the iris information preliminarily registered in a data base 6b, to collate the number of people whose pieces of iris information are acquired by the iris information acquiring means 7 with the number of people to enter and leave the room counted by the counting means 8 for people to enter and leave the room, to output normal information when the numbers are mutually coincident and to output an abnormality information when they are noncoincident with each other.
