<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uniformity of dimension or shape of an electron emission part and provide a field emission device, with easy manufacture, allowing correspondence to expansion of a picture of a display apparatus. SOLUTION: A field emission device is provided with a cathode electrode 11 formed on a supporting matter 10, an insulating layer 12 formed on the supporting matter 10 and the cathode electrode 11, a gate electrode 13 formed on the insulating layer 12, an opening part 19, penetrating through the gate electrode 13 and the insulating layer 12, in which the cathode electrode 11 is exposed at a bottom thereof and an electron emission part 18, formed on the cathode electrode 11 exposed on a bottom surface of the opening part 19, whose tip part has a conical form, made of polycrystalline or amorphous conductive material.</p> |
