<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information compressor where production of a click noise at an edit point can be reduced in the case of compression in the unit of frames or fields. SOLUTION: A discontinuity detection/control circuit 15 checks whether or not a write address of a memory 29 at the detection of discontinuity is of a prescribed value or higher. When the address is of less than the specified value, the circuit 15 restores the address to a start address of a preceding frame, and when the address is of the specified value or over, the circuit 15 restores the address to a start address of a frame at which the discontinuity is detected. After the restoration to normal operation, writing of audio data to the memory 29 is restarted from the start address, and a cross fader 25 is operated, so as to apply fade-in to the audio data from an A/D converter 24 from the start address to the specified address and to fade-out the audio data from the memory 29, and only the audio data from the A/D converter 24 are outputted after the specified address.</p> |
