PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-head optical disk device improved in reliability at the time of reproduction by effectively utilizing plural reproducing systems. SOLUTION: This multi-head optical disk device having plural optical heads 11A, 11B which are arranged at different positions on an optical disk 10 and reproduce the information recorded on the optical disk and output the reproduced signals, and having plural reproduced signal processing circuits 12A, 12B which respectively process the reproduced signals outputted from these optical heads, is provided with a high reliability reproduction mode in which criterion signals 1, 2 to judge the quality of the processed signals outputted respectively from each reproduced signal processing circuit 12A, 12B are extracted and a selector 13 selects either of the processed signals from the reproduced signal processing circuits 12A, 12B based on these criterion signals.
