PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen the range of an output voltage and current. SOLUTION: This amplifier circuit is provided with an output circuit in which a P channel FET 11 and an N channel FET 10 are serially connected between power source potentials VDD and VSS, an inter-gate potential difference circuit 16A whose one edge OP and the other edge ON are respectively connected with the gate of the P channel FET 11 and the gate of the N channel FET 10 and in which the potential difference VPN between the OP and ON is adjusted according to a control signal VG3, an input circuit 17 for keeping the potential difference VPN at a nearly prescribed value and for changing the potentials of the OP and ON according to an input voltage VI, a fixed current source 40 for outputting reference currents IS, and a through current detecting and comparing circuit 30 for detecting currents proportional to through currents being smaller currents among currents I1 flowing through the P channel FET 11 and currents I2 flowing through the N channel FET 10, and for generating the control signal VG3 to the inter-gate potential difference circuit 16A so that the detected currents can be turned into the reference value IS.
