PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC/DC converter circuit which is capable of realizing high conversion efficiency without using sense resistor. SOLUTION: A DC/DC converter circuit, comprising a main switching element Q1 to turn on/turn off the input and a synchronous rectifying switching element Q2 to turn on/turn off the input voltage in the reverse action mode, while keeping the period of simultaneous turning-off following the circuit constitution of the voltage mode control type, is provided with a detecting means to detect as to whether or not the output side voltage of the main switching element Q1 is larger than the input side voltage, and a control means to be shifted to a power saving mode, in which the drive power of the switching element is reduced or cut, when the detecting means detects that the output side voltage is larger than the input side voltage.
