PURPOSE: A method for controlling the rinsing process in a fully automatic washing machine is provided, to reduce the number of unnecessary rinsing and to save wash water. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of detecting the variation of an electrical signal according to the turbidity of rinsing water which is drained during the draining process after the rinsing process (step 1); comparing the transmittance of rinsing water measured at the step 1 with a reference transmittance (step 2); stopping the rinsing operation if the transmittance of rinsing water measured is greater than the reference transmittance, and determining the number of rinsing if the transmittance of rinsing water measured is smaller than the reference transmittance (step 3); and terminating the rinsing process if the number of rinsing is greater than a set number, and terminating the draining process, supplying rinsing water, counting the number of rinsing and re-performing the rinsing operation if the number of rinsing is smaller than the set number (step 4). The turbidity of rinsing water is measured by using a photosensor. |
