METHOD FOR PROVIDING MOTION PICTURES IN DIGITAL TELEVISION

PURPOSE: A method for providing motion pictures in digital television is disclosed to provide motion picture information on program corresponding to EPG data. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing motion pictures in digital television includes three steps. At the first step(320), whether a motion picture display request is input or not is checked during EPG(electronic programming guide) menu display. At the second step(324), whether a motion information with respect to a program corresponding to the position of a program pointer in checked when the motion picture display request is present. At the third step(328), information on the motion picture is extracted from the program and the extracted information is provided to the digital television when the motion picture information is present.
