PURPOSE: A method for fixing spacer of a field emission display element is provided to minimizing outgassing and improving driving property of the element by adhering and burning a preformed spacer on an upper board provided with a material for fixing the spacer and a field emission area. CONSTITUTION: A method for fixing spacer of a field emission display element includes the steps of forming a first fixture(100) provided with supporting dies(800) for fixing a bar type spacer, and a second fixture(200) formed with grooves of which width is larger than the width of the supporting dies of the first fixture, coupling the first and second fixtures together and inserting a spacer(300) between the fixtures to be protruded outside the second fixture, firmly fixing the spacer by moving the first and second fixtures in opposite directions, joining and adhering the protruded spacer with an upper board(500) by burning, and separating the first and second fixtures from the upper board to form an upper board fixed with the spacer, wherein the first and second fixtures are formed of photosensitive glass. and a flint glass(400) is provided outside a field emission area for adhering the spacer with the area. |
