PURPOSE: A vehicle hood latch is provided to protect a vehicle from robbing by being prevented from opening by force with a bracket covering the space between the end of an outer cable and a clamp tube. CONSTITUTION: A bracket(10) is placed in one side of a base bracket(52) with a bolt. An end ball(84) is connected with a connecting piece(68) and a casing end cap(86) is fixed to the hole of a guiding piece(70). The casing end cap installs a clamp tube(90) fixing the end of an outer cable(88). An inserting tube(12) of the bracket covers the space between the end of the outer cable and the clamp tube, not for exposing the space to the outside. Thus, even if a hook is inserted through a radiator grill or the bottom of the vehicle, the hook is stuck in the inserting tube and disabled for reaching to the end of the outer cable. |
