PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a medium owing to the management of the customer information even when the writing fails by separating the application from the writing when the purchase or writing of an electronic book is requested. SOLUTION: The customer ID stored in a customer ID part of a medium 40 is read to a book writing device 20 via a recording medium read/write part 2002 and then transmitted to a distribution center 30 via a communication part 2006 together with the information on the ID, year and number of a written book. If the writing of the book data fails with the device 20, the medium 40 is put again into the part 2002 of the device 20. Then the bar code that is used for the application of purchase of the book is read again by means of a bar code reader 2003 of the device 20 to specify the book whose reading failed. Based on this book specifying information, the book data of the device 20 are written again into the medium 40. Thus, the medium 40 is restored in its original state. |
