PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a polygon motor and a photoreceptor unit by a minimum fan by providing a ventilation means and a ventilation path for guiding air sent from the ventilation means to an exposure means and the photoreceptor unit. SOLUTION: A C-rail 21 guiding and positioning a drum unit 20 is arranged nearly at the center part of an image forming device, and a polygon duct 18 is provided on the front side of the rail 21. The polygon fan 19 is housed in the polygon duct 18, and a suction port for taking in outside air 27 is provided on the duct 18. The duct 18 is forked from a branching part so as to branch air flow 24 being the ventilation path to two directions. The outside air 27 blowing out from the fan 19 is separated by the duct 18 and either air flow 24a of the separated air flow 24 blows against a fin 22 provided at the bottom part of a polygon motor 17, and the other air flow 24b blows against a drum unit 20. |
