PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conference management system which can surely notify the start of a conference and also confirm the attendance of members in real time. SOLUTION: A conference management server 1 registers the conference information on a conference information table 10 and sends the attendance confirming notifications to the portable information terminals 2 of all attendants of a conference. Every terminal 2 receives the conference information from the server 1 against its request and displays both conference and attendance information. Upon receiving the attendance confirming information, the terminal 2 displays the conference information and also sends the confirmation of attendance given from a user to the server 1. If the user's operation is not confirmed for a fixed time, the circuit of the user is cut. The server 1 gives the notifications to the attendants who sent no answers to the received attendance confirming notifications every n minutes until the conference start time elapses. |
