PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor having a structure capable of easily executing positioning of a grommet on a cover member. SOLUTION: When a grommet 17 is installed on a cover member 16, the positioning of the grommet 17 on the cover member 16 in the axial direction can be executed easily by engagement between a grommet-side engaging part and a cover-side engaging part 100. For example, a ceramic separator 18, in which lead wire through-holes 72 for inserting plural lead wires 20, 21 respectively separately are formed in the axis direction, can be arranged in the cover member 16. In this case, the grommet 17 can be fixed easily, by means of engagement between the cover-side engaging part 100 and the grommet-side engaging part, at a position where an aperture 98 of a prescribed quantity is formed between the front end face of the grommet 17 itself and the rear end face of the ceramic separator 18, and securing of the aperture 98 and control of the aperture quantity can be executed very easily. |
