PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent production of noise by allowing a receiver to conduct conventional compression decoding independently of presence of a correction disabled error and to reduce noise by decoding only normal information and applying proper processing other than usual processing to erroneous information. SOLUTION: The system has a transmitter 102 that transmits a reproduced signal from a VTR 101 to a transmission line 105 and has a receiver 106 that receives a signal from the transmitter 102. The transmitter 102 has a function that information of error occurrence position is obtained through an information transmission line 104 on the occurrence of a correction disabled error when the VTR 101 is reproduced and transmitted together with the reproduced signal from a signal transmission line 103.
