PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the energy loss of the opening/closing driving means of passing doors by making a gate opening and closing device main body perform curved guidance between an opened position where the passing doors are opened by the driving means and a closed position where the passing doors are closed. SOLUTION: Passing doors 2Ao and 2Bo provided inside gate opening/closing device main bodies 1A and 1B can freely go out and retreat between a closed position where they project the outer parts of the bodies 1A and 1B through passing door coming out and in openings 11Ao and 11Bo near the exit of a passage 10 and close the passage 10 and an opened position where the doors 2Ao and 2Bo projecting the outer parts of the bodies 1A and 1B are housed inside the bodies 1A and 1B through the openings 11Ao and 11Bo near the exit of the passage 10 to release the passage 10. Thus, a curved guiding means and a driving means make the doors 2Ao and 2Bo perform opening and closing driving between the opened position and the closed position.
