PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the network management method and device which can surely process and object that can be normally processed even when some of plural objects requested at the side of a device to be managed are not normally processed in regard to a network management method which can request the acquisition and setting of data against plural objects by means of a single message such as an SNMP(simple network management protocol). SOLUTION: If an error is included in a response to be given to a request message (S103), it is checked whether the request message is sent to plural objects (S104). If the request message is sent to plural objects, an error object is detected (S105). Then a new request message is generated by excluding the error object from the original request message (S106) and sent again to the objects (S107).
