PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an energy saving returning method capable of accelerating a return operation of a device when it returns from a complete energy saving state more than a return operation of the device when a power supply switch is turned on and improving the operability and performance of a recorder of a facsimile equipment, a copying machine, a laser printer, etc., and to obtain a recorder that uses it. SOLUTION: When an energy saving CPU 3 detects the occurrence of a factor, a main body CPU 2 is started after the detection result of the factor is stored in a self-port (B) 4f, the started CPU 2 reads the port 4f of the CPU 3, discriminates the existence/absence of the detection results of the factor and initializes the facsimile equipment 1 according to a different initialization procedure in accordance with the existence/absence of the detection results. For instance, when the detection results do not exist, the CPU 2 performs an initialization procedure when the power supply switch of the equipment 1 is turned on, i.e., an initialization operation including the cleaning of a photosensitive body. Also, when the detection results exist, it initializes the equipment according to an initialization procedure preliminarily defined in accordance with the factor. |
