PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a communication method by which a host device can manage a terminal device based on the communication carried out between the host and terminal devices and regardless of the report of each consigner and also to provide host and terminal devices which are used to the communication system and method. SOLUTION: A terminal device 2-i uses at least sales route information 201b which is stored in a storage part 201 together with inherent information 201a to generate the device certification information that certifies that the device 2-i serves as a subject of communication. Then the device certification information is added to a communication telegraphic message and transmitted. Meanwhile, a host device 10 receives the communication telegraphic message from the device 2-i and detects the added device certification information out of the telegraphic message. A system manager uses the device certification information for the system operation, the management of terminal devices and users, etc.
