PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a number of guided vehicles control system capable of avoiding a hunting phenomenon and providing with many vehicles information without expanding communication facilities and without restricting the number of users. SOLUTION: A number of guided vehicles controller 42 is constituted of a group information storage part 42a, a road information storage part 42b, a vehicle density calculating part 42c, a guidance ratio estimating part 42d, a control part 42e. acquires road traffic information from a traffic information center 43 via a cable link 43a, estimates vehicle density by the vehicle density calculating part 42c, calculates the number of guidable vehicles for every route by the vehicle density and the traffic capacity stored in the road information storage part 42b and determines optimal guidance ratio. In addition, the number of running vehicles for every group is calculated by the vehicle density and the number of vehicles running in a road section belonging to individual group to be included in the group information storage part 42a. The number of vehicles by every group is combined and combination of groups approximated to the calculated guidance ratio is determined.
