PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the even-numbered order distortions of an amplifier at low cost. SOLUTION: A bi-directional transformer 100 is arranged at the input stage or output stage of an amplifier, and a distortion generator 200 constituted of a Schottky diode is provided at a secondary coil. A signal inputted to a primary coil is induced in a secondary coil, and a reverse phase secondary distortion is added by the distortion generator 200. A signal to which the reverse phase secondary distortion is added to is inverted and induced in the primary coil, and inputted to an amplifier 300 as an in-phase secondary distortion together with the basic wave transmitted through the primary coil. The in-phase secondary distortion by the basic wave is synthesized with the reverse phase secondary distortion by the inversion amplification of the in-phase secondary distortion at the output of the inversion amplifier 300. That is, the in-phase secondary distortion generated by the inversion amplifier 300 is offset. This secondary distortion can be extended to other even-numbered order distortions. Thus, the correction of the even-numbered order distortions can be realized by one bi-directional transformer 100 and the distortion generator 200 at a low cost.
