PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a detector fitting accuracy by allowing a recessed part or protruding part which is provided to a package part coating a sensor part of a detector to be engaged with a recessed part or protruding part of a fitting jig. SOLUTION: Related to a magnetic detector 3, a detector main body 10 and a support plate 11 are molded. The support plate 11 comprises a bolt hole and a pair of slots, etc., while a detector support bracket (referred to as bracket) 19 comprises a hole 19b, fitting hole 19c, and engagement hole 19d, etc. When the magnetic detector 3 is fitted to the bracket 19, the detector main body 10 is inserted in the hole 19c of the bracket 19, and an engagement projection 28a of a jig 27 is engaged with the engagement hole 19d of the bracket 19. Then the detector 3 between the bracket 19 and the jig 27 is moved so that an engagement projection 29 of the jig 27 is engaged with an engagement recessed part 25. Under the condition, a bolt 22 is inserted in the slot 21 and the hole 19b and then tightened. Then the jig 27 is detached and a bolt 18 is inserted in an insert hole and a hole and tightened.
