PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable transfer of pre-format recording in many times in the higher accuracy by providing, on a substrate, a plurality of transfer information recording parts consisting of projected ferro-magnetic material depending on the recording information for transfer and forming a conductive layer between the transfer information recording part and substrate. SOLUTION: A conductive layer 10 is formed on a master carrier 1 for magnetic transfer and a transfer information recording part 10 consisting of a ferro- magnetic material depending on a pre-format is formed on this conductive layer. A precise pre-format of the slave medium is performed by energizing the transfer information recording part 11 by placing in contact the master carrier for magnetic transfer with a slave medium 5 or by impressing the energizing filed 6 such as an AC bias magnetic field or DC magnetic field. Here, when the master carrier for magnetic transfer is placed in contact with the slave medium, it is preferable that the transfer information recording part 11 has sufficient hardness of 10 Gpa or more. |
