摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly bring the screen to appropriate brightness when the screen is in a halation condition. SOLUTION: A histogram processing circuit 16, a restriction control circuit 17, a restrictor 18, a light source 19, and a stepping motor 26 are provided in a processor 10 of an endoscope device, and a monitor 23 is provided outside the processor 10. Based on the histogram obtained by the histogram processing circuit 16, the mean brightness value to indicate the brightness of the screen in the monitor 23 is calculated. The calculated mean brightness is compared with the means brightness in a halation condition. If the calculated mean brightness exceeds the mean brightness in the halation condition, the specified pulse signal is supplied from the restriction control circuit 17 to the stepping motor 26, and the opening degree of the resrictor 18 is set to be 60% of the present opening degree to adjust the light quantity to be guided to an object from the light source 19.
