PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling characteristic and maintenability of a DC motor, in which one bracket is used in common as a part of the body to be driven. SOLUTION: A armature 11 having a rotating shaft 12 is coaxially arranged within a cylindrical yoke 3 coupled with one end at a bracket 4, one end of the rotating shaft 12 is supported to rotate with the bracket 4, an input shaft 33 of the body to be driven is coaxially coupled with the other end of the rotating shaft 12, a casing 5 of the body to be driven can be coupled directly with the other end of the yoke 3, a plurality of brushes 19P, 19M are held with the bracket 4 and elastically sliding to be contacted with a flat commutator 18 provided at the armature 11, permitting the movement along the direction of the rotating shaft 12, the casing 5 is provided with a recess 28 for engaging with the yoke 3, a recess 31 of intermediate diameter is formed at the bottom surface of the recess 28, a support recess 32 which engaged slightly with a ball bearing 29 provided at the other end of the rotating shaft 12 is provided at the center area of the bottom surface of the recess 31 of the intermediate diameter, an annular groove 36 is formed in the circumferential direction at the side surface facing to the opening of the support recess 32 and an engaging member 37 is inserted to the groove 36 from the recess 31 of the medium diameter.
