PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle a web as a reliable composed reference source by updating a hyperlink so that the time stamp of the requested version of an electronic document is included. SOLUTION: A web browser 100 accesses information from one or more persistent web servers 140 and 150 through the Internet or worldwide web environment 130. A uniform resource locator(URL) for identifying a web resource is so reinforced as to include a time stamp. The web browser 100 and persistent web servers 140 and 150 has additional time stamp parameters and a user refers to an arbitrary web address having a target date and time. In this case, the version of an electronic document is corrected and the hyperlink embedded in the requested version of the electronic document is so updated as to include the time stamp of the requested version and sent to the client.
