PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update a new process control processor by transporting the program of an existent process control processor to the new process control processor in necessary units without stopping the operation of a plant, etc. SOLUTION: A new personal computer 2 processes input data by a program obtained by transporting necessary units of the program 12 of the existent computer 1 and when process data of an untransported program 13 are used from the existent computer 1, the input data can be processed by receiving the process data on-line from the existent computer 1 through a LAN 17. Consequently, either the plant or production lines need not be stopped, the program of the existent computer 1 while transported to the new personal computer 2 in the necessary units can be verified, and the program having been verified is obtained at the end of the transporting process.
