PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use caller number notice service in the extension line of the private exchange for an additional dial-in system, which is formed before the start of the service. SOLUTION: In an extension telephone system using the private exchange 3 for an additional dial-in system, which is formed before the start of the caller number notice service, primary caller number processing adapters 2 installed for respective outer lines 1 once store caller numbers. An exchange 3 operates by an extension number sent from the outer lines 1 in accordance with the guide of the exchange 3, and an extension telephone line 14 is called. The primary caller number processing adapters 2 transmit the stored caller numbers to secondary caller number processing adapters 5 with the off-hook of the secondary caller number processing adapter 5 installed for respective extension lines. The secondary caller number processing adapters 5 process the caller numbers, then transmit or do not transmit a ringer tone to the extension telephone line. Therefore, they can process the caller number even in the extension telephone lines 4.
