METHOD FOR ALERTING PROCESSOR ALARM IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for alerting a processor alarm in a communication system, is provided to automatically sense an error and alarm of every kind of processor within an electronic exchange of the communication system, and to automatically report the sense result to a pager of a system operator through a modem. CONSTITUTION: A method for alerting a processor alarm in a communication system comprises the steps of: grasping states of every kind of processor within an electronic exchange by performing a state monitoring program in an operation maintenance interface device(OMID)(a first step); sensing whether alarms are generated in the processors from the states result grasped in the first step(a second step); progressing to the next processor and performing the first step, when alarms are not generated in the first step(a third step); confirming pager number information of a system operator to whom corresponding number information and a state of a processor where an alarm generated are reported, when alarms are generated in the first step(a fourth step); initializing a modem by opening an RS-232C communication port after performing the fourth step(a fifth step); converting the corresponding number information of the processor where an alarm generated and pager number information into analog signals by using a modem instruction word in the initialized modem, and then transmitting the analog signals to a public switched telephone network(PSTN) through a telephone line(a sixth step); reporting the state of a present processor, by confirming information transmitted in the sixth step by the PSTN and calling a small-sized pager of the corresponding number which the operator has(a seventh step).
