PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable batch conversion of letters inputted by kana characters or by Roman letters into kanji by referring to dictionary ROM. SOLUTION: As a navigating device is constituted by referring to kanji ROM 20 and performing batch conversion of the inputted letters into kanji when information is inputted by kana characters or by Roman letters, it is possible to reduce the time and effort of key entry substantially in comparison with a conventional word-for-word input-type device. Therefore, as it is possible to input letters smoothly at the time of transmitting mail information through the Internet, etc., in the case of a device capable of being connected to a portable telephone, it is possible to save communication costs. |
