PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly support an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum and to improve assemblability by providing a frame supporting an electrifying means for electrifying the photoreceptor drum and coupled with/separated from a frame supporting a developing means. SOLUTION: In the process cartridge, an electrifying roller 8a, a regulating blade 8c and an electrifying brush 11 and the like are assembled altogether as an integrated electrifying unit C by using an electrifying frame 13 in a developing unit D where the electrophotographic photoreceptor drum 7 and a developing means 10 are integrally constituted by using a developing frame 12. Furthermore, the units D and C are positioned and coupled by using a front cover and a rear cover from both ends in a longitudinal direction. In the case of detaching the process cartridge to the outside of a machine, a shutter 18 is closed to prevent the drum 7 from being exposed by external light and being damaged in handling, and in the case of attaching the process cartridge to a device main body, the shutter 18 is opened to bring the drum 7 into contact with an intermediate transfer belt. |
