PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical scanner by which a ghost image is surely removed even in a surface wobbling compensation optical system. SOLUTION: This scanner is a scanning optical system for scanning a body to be scanned 40 with a light beam emitted by a laser light source 10 by reflecting it by a rotary polygon mirror 20 and passing through the surface wobbling compensation optical systems 32 and 33. In this case, the light beam (a) from the laser light source 10 is made incident to be inclined on the plane orthogonal with the rotary shaft of the rotary polygon mirror 20, and also a first shielding plate 50 by which ghost light (c) reflected on the body to be scanned 40 and returning in the direction of the rotary polygon mirror 20 is cut and a second shielding plate 51 by which the ghost light (d) obtained by reflecting light left uncut by the rotary polygon mirror 20 again and directed to the body to be scanned 40 is cut are provided between the rotary polygon mirror 20 and the body to be scanned 40. |
