PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure efficient operation of an air conditioner where the number of indoor units to be operated simultaneously is limited by an arrangement wherein an arbitrary one of a first push preference indoor unit operation permitting system, a last push preference indoor unit operation permitting system or a priority based indoor unit operation permitting system can be set. SOLUTION: When priority is set for each indoor unit 12, '0' or '1' is selected previously for the term 'priority setting system' stored in the memory of controller 16 for each indoor unit 12 using a maintenance computer 17 and one of first push preference indoor unit operation permitting system, last push preference indoor unit operation permitting system or priority based indoor unit operation permitting system is set. An operation request of an indoor unit 12 is then transmitted from the controller 16 to a controller 15 by operating a remote controller 14 and the controller 15 makes a decision whether the number of currently operating indoor units 12 is smaller than that permitted to operate simultaneously and permits operation of the requested indoor unit 12. |
