MAP DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device and a method thereof which can display an easy-to-see map, without a specified three-dimensional structure hidden by other three-dimensional structures. SOLUTION: A map data storage part 11 has plural kinds of three-dimension map data in storage. A structure specifying part 12 specifies a predetermined three-dimensional structure. A projecting part 13 generates a projected image obtained by projecting the three-dimensional structure from a prescribed view point. A work writing drawing part 14 draws the projected image on a frame buffer 18 concerning the specified three-dimensional structure, and also writes a value showing that the projected image has been drawn on the pixels corresponding to the work buffer 17. A work reference drawing part 15 draws the projected image of an unspecified three-dimensional structure only on the pixels of the frame buffer 18 corresponding to the pixels on which the value showing to have drawn on the work buffer 17 is not written. Therefore, the specified three-dimensional structure is displayed so as not to be hidden by the other three-dimensional structure.
