PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the processing cost, and make the work efficient with short drying time, by controlling the drive of an air cooling means by the output of a temperature sensor, and detecting the finish of the drying of the substance to be dried by the output of a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. SOLUTION: In this drier, thermocouples or temperature measuring resistors, etc., can be used as temperature sensors 61, 62, 64, 66, and 67. The thermocouple is one where one end each of two kinds of conductors is connected to each other, and it detects the temperature, based on the electromotive force corresponding to the temperature of its connection. A temperature measuring resistor detects the temperature, making use of the resistance change by the temperature of the resistor element. Moreover, as humidity sensors 63 and 65, an electricitysensitive film is put between two electrodes each, and each sensor detects the relative humidity, making use of electric capacity changing by the change of the quantity of moisture contained in the humiditysensitive film. As a sensor which detects the condition of drainage, there is a sensor 68 which detects the existence of water flow or a sensor 69 which detects the weight of a container.
