PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a tap coefficient that is always changed in response to a propagation state in real time by compressing an information quantity sent from a tap coefficient generator to a monitor control section so as to decrease a period when the tap coefficient is transmitted more than a period when the tap coefficient is updated in a transversal equalizer with many taps whose transmission rate is high. SOLUTION: The monitor circuit is provided with a tap coefficient control means 106 that compares a current tap coefficient with a tap coefficient before update among tap coefficients generated from a tap coefficient generating means A 105 that generates tap coefficients given to a transversal equalizer 101 and outputs a comparison result to a monitor control section 109 as difference information, and with a tap coefficient generating means B 112 that decodes the tap coefficient on the basis of the difference information.
